Quori and UNDP Ghana Partner to Enhance Reforestation Efforts Through Digital Transformation

17 October 2024

Quori, a world-leading operational intelligence system powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), has partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ghana to strengthen reforestation efforts through enhanced data collection and analysis. This partnership supports UNDP Ghana’s work to restore degraded forests across the country, focusing on sustainable cocoa production practices and the shea landscape restoration project in northern Ghana.

AI Technology to Drive Sustainable Reforestation

In-person training was conducted by Quori in Accra on July 15-16, 2024, for UNDP Ghana personnel and key stakeholders. The training introduced participants to Quori’s cutting-edge AI tools, which are expected to revolutionize how data is collected and analyzed for reforestation initiatives. With the project now underway, Quori’s platform is being actively deployed to enhance the quality, quantity, and digitalization of field data, accelerating efforts to protect and restore Ghana’s forests.

“We are proud to be working with UNDP Ghana on this important initiative,” said Marta Tufa, CEO of Quori. “Our platform will empower stakeholders with real-time data and predictive insights, enabling faster, more effective interventions in key reforestation projects. This partnership represents the future of data-driven environmental sustainability.”

This collaboration comes at a critical time as Ghana continues to face deforestation challenges, particularly in the High Forest Zone, a region impacted by unsustainable cocoa farming and illegal logging. By integrating Quori’s AI-powered system, UNDP Ghana will be able to monitor reforestation activities more efficiently and ensure that restoration efforts are both data-driven and environmentally sustainable.
